ADMISSION - PROCEDURE

UG Courses

Application forms for Under Graduate Courses are available at the colleges office on all working days.

While filling the application form, follow the instructions given in the last page of this Prospectus carefully. The duly filled in applications should be submitted to the college office.

Applicants who have completed HSC / equivalent are eligible for admission to Degree course.

The interview card will be sent to the provisionally selected candidates. Admission would be confirmed only after the interview.

Receipt of the interview card does not guarantee admission. Intimation will not be sent to the application who are not selected.

Request for change of group is not entertained. Applicants who are selected should bring the original certificate mentioned below and pay the fee immediately.

	HSC Mark sheet / equivalent
	SSC Mark sheet
	Transfer Certificate
	Conduct Certificate
	Community Certificate
	Fitness Certificate
	Migration Certificate ( CBSE / Others)

Note : Students from other states / Boards should produce a migration Certificate.

Candidate who fails to appear for the interview or fails to produce the original ceriticates will not be considered for selection..

The candidate will be interviewed only if she brings the interview card.

All admission made provisionally are at the discretion of the management subject to approval by the University.

The college is not responsible if the candidate is found to be not eligible by the University for reason of any kind.

The selected candidate is advised to take sufficient photocopies of all the certificates before submitting the originals to the college. The certificates WILL NOT BE RETURNED till the student leaves the college.

WITHDRAWAL

Candidate who has enrolled for a course is expected to continue till the end of the course. If any student desires to leave in the middle of the course period, she has to pay the entire fee for all three years.
Transfer certificate will be issued to the candidate only after 10 days of applying along with a valid requisition and necessary fee. Fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumstance..Transfer certificate will be issued only after paying the entire course fee.

PG Courses

Applications for the specified PG courses are available at college office on all working days.

Selection will be based on percentage of marks in the UG degree.

Interview card will be sent to the provisionally selected candidates. The selection / admission would be confirmed only after the interview. RECEIPT OF THE INTERVIEW CARD DOES NOT GUARANTEE ADMISSION.

Interview card will not be sent to the candidates who are not selected.

Request for charge of group is not entertained and applicants who are selected should bring the original certificates mentioned below pay the fee immediately

Note : Student from Universities other than the University of Madras should produce Eligibility Certificate issued by the University of Madras.

PAYMENT OF FEE

	Once the candidate is selected after the interview, she has to pay the fee immediately. Fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumstance. The management reserves the right to revise the feet at the beginning of any term in the academic year.

IDENTITY CARD

	The college will provide Identity Card to the students and they are requires to put on the ID card while in the campus.

ATTENDANCE

Students should attend the college regularly. Students who do not possess 85% of attendance will not be permitted to write the university examinations. Attendance for extracurricular activities is important. If necessary, permission letter should be submitted in advance. Absence due to Illness / inevitable circumstance should carry valid medical report / letter. The decision of the Management / Principal is final in matters concerning attendance.

EXAMINATIONS & TESTS

	For all UG and PG courses , semester pattern with credits is followed as per The University rules.

COLLEGE EXAMINATIONS

UNIVERSITY EXAMINATIONS

	The semester examinations will be conducted at the end of each semester during November and April. Students should register for the exams by paying the fee prescribed by the University

DRESS CODE

	Students must dress modestly in saree with sleeved blouse or churidhar with sleeved long tops and dupatta.No other mode of dress will be allowed. Students must come ONLY in SAREE WITH SLEEVED BLOUSE ON ALL FRIDAYS.

SPECIAL NOTE TO STUDENTS

	Students should follow the dress code strictly.
	Students should uphold moral standards , honesty , decorum and discipline of the college.
	Students should be regular and punctual.
	Students are not allowed to bring mobile phone inside the campus. The mobile phone will be seized if found.
	Ragging is banned in the college. If any incident of ragging comes to the notice of the authority. The concerned student shall be given liberty to explain and if her explanation is not found satisfactory, the authority would expel the student from the institution.

SPECIAL NOTE TO PARENTS

	Parents are requested to meet the faculty and discuss the progress of their wards regularly.
	Parents are requested to keep track of their wards discipline.
	Parents are requested not to provide Mobile Phones to their wards. Mobile phones are banned in the college.
	Parents are welcome to attend the college functions ( Sports Day, Annual Day and Graduation Day).
	Parents are requested to co-operate with the college authorities to enable their wards a safe course of study.

PLACEMENT CELL

The placement cell regularly organizes campus selection by entering into MOUs with leading companies and organizations of repute.
The placement cell
	Offers training in soft skills and other life skills
	Conducts aptitude Tests and various Workshops like Personality Development Training , etc.
	Counsels the students to prepare for higher studies
	Guides the students to prepare for competitive exams
	Helps the students to plan their career options.

INSTRUCTIONS TO THE APPLICANT

	Admission will be given on the basis of merit.
	Admission will be done on first come first served basis.
	If the applicant wishes to apply for more than one course, separate application forms should be submitted.
	No original certificate should be enclosed with the application

INSTRUCTIONS TO FILL IN THE APPLICATION FROM

Name should be written in block letters as in the SSC(10th) / HSC(12th) Mark sheet

In Item 2, the applicant should fill in the Address for communication ( if in hostel / with guardian / others)

In item 5, the applicant should mention the name of the community and tick the relevant box.

The applicant should attach the photo copies of the following certificates dully attested by a Gazetted officer / school principal where the students studied .

	HSC / +2 Mark Sheet
	SSC / 10th Mark Sheet
	Community Certificate
	Transfer Certificate
	Conduct Certificate
	Migration Certificate (if passed from other state / Board )
	Physical Fitness Certificate from a Registered Medical Practitioner
	Recent passport size photographs (3 nos) of the applicant
	Recent passport size photographs of both the parents / Guardian.
